We value all feedback; it’s one way of us checking ourselves against the very high standards expected by Katherine Lamb and the K Lamb Associates team. This feedback, from a Leicestershire Fire (LFRS) Strategic Commander, captures succinctly the very ethos of the company.
Our one-day Strategic Fire Commander Group Decision Making Exercise, expertly delivered by Joe Hassell and Scott Moultrie, was commissioned by Leicestershire FRS as part of their on-going CPD training plan for their Strategic Command Team.
CFO LFRS Callum Faint said, “the development of bespoke and realistic scenarios using our risk area and topography was excellent.”
Kent Fire (KFRS) hosted a KLA delivery team who delivered another SFJ Awards Level 6 Award (ICL3) in Advanced Incident Command. Joining the course along with delegates from KFRS was a delegate from the UAE and one from Northumberland Fire. The richness of group discussions that is experienced when delegates meet from all corners of the fire sector is truly remarkable.
“The facilitators' ability to work in a non-script way allowed for a real immersive experience.” SFJ Awards Level 6 Award KFRS.
A KLA delivery Team in the north of the country descended on North Yorkshire Fire after they requested a day of SFJ-Effective Command-ICL2 Revalidation Assessment. Maximum benefit afforded for the service as their delegates, command support team and FDOs all got invaluable exposure to incident command scenarios in a safe but familiar environment.
“Thoroughly enjoyed the day. Scenarios were realistic and representative of North Yorkshire’s demographic.” NYFRS SFJ-EC-ICL2 Revalidation Assessment.
Finally, 2 more delegates, this time from Oxfordshire Fire and Humberside Fire, experienced their practical SCG Exercise assessment day concluding the SFJ Awards, Level 7 Award in Strategic Incident Command. Hosted by Staffordshire’s CCU team, delegates were challenged to each host a SCG meeting designed to replicate a decision to declare a major incident.
