Peripatetic Nature of K Lamb Associates Ltd
Katherine Lamb and the K Lamb Associates will travel the length and breadth of the country in our quest to satisfy client requirements. Last week saw our associates deliver 5 different incident command courses working with 6 different Fire and Rescue Services.
Cambridgeshire Fire invited KLA to deliver 2 different types of course involving their ICL2 and ICL3&4 commanders. Our delivery team facilitated 2-days of SFJ Awards-Effective Command-ICL2 Revalidation Assessments. Maintaining competence at the appropriate command level is integral to fire service response. Using in-house command support and role-playing flexi-duty officers adds to the realism of the experience. Additionally, our partner and Strategic Trainer Joe Hassell was invited to deliver his coveted Strategic Commander Refresher and Decision-Making Exercise Day. The top team took part providing engaging group discussions.
In Leicestershire Fire our team delivered the second SFJ Awards Level 4 Award in Intermediate Incident Command. Another six delegates were exposed to 12 complex bespoke scenarios. Using the Effective Command Behavioural Marking Framework, constructive and credible feedback was given to them helping future development.
Buckinghamshire Fire invited our delivery back for the second Command Support Operatives course. The importance of having trained and competent CS teams has not been lost of Bucks FRS. The delegates receive invaluable knowledge input complemented by practical exercises to embed the learning.
Finally, Hertfordshire Fire hosted the latest SFJ Awards Level 7 Award in Strategic Incident Command in Fire and Rescue Services. The cohort, made up of representatives from Herts, Lincolnshire Fire and Northamptonshire Fire, really engaged in the topic areas. The presentations and subsequent professional discussions cultivated some fascinating conversations. Next steps include their attendance at a whole day SCG Practical Exercise in Staffordshire Fire CCU.
