Mark Lamb

Mark retired as a Station Commander following a career that starting with Lancashire Fire and Rescue service and culminated with Cheshire Fire and Rescue service. Mark has varied operational, training and personnel development experience which was underpinned by his own development.

Mark’s qualifications are B(Eng) Hons, Cert Ed, ILM and holds his MIFireE.

 

A qualified instructor with extensive experience in the design and development, implementation and assessment of new learning, developmental learning and the maintenance of skills for all staff from recruit to Service management team.

Mark was the Lead for Incident Command Training and assessment for Lancashire Fire and Rescue service where he was responsible for the design and creation of exercises from simple scene/risk assessments to large multi-agency Major Incidents and JESIP implementation. This was continued as a member of the Command Training Group with Cheshire Fire and Rescue service where he also completed the SFJ Level 5 Incident Command Trainer course with KLA. 

Mark has worked closely with the local Resilience forums and partners to deliver Major incident training including partner awareness and development through scenarios and exercises. He has also been involved with the local planning for major events and visits.

During his career Mark worked multiple shift patterns at several stations. He completed a secondment to the Operational Assurance Team where he was responsible for the development of the service along with liaising with partners through regional and national platforms.
