The Emergency Services Show, A Huge Success.

The Emergency Services Show, A Huge Success.

Location, location, location of the K Lamb Associates stand proved massively beneficial at this year's Emergency Services Show held at NEC Birmingham. Nestled alongside the JESIP stand and our trusted partners The LearnPro Group some might say we put into practice majority of the JESIP principles including co-locate, communicate and co-ordinate. Being part of such an important event in the Fire Sector calendar is enormously important to K Lamb Associates, this is why we took the opportunity at the show to announce our entering into an agreement with the LearnPro Group, a new collaborative partnership. Katherine Lamb made the most of the opportunity to meet with many existing clients and forged some new contacts some of which we will be following up over the coming weeks.

In the same week as the show, our delivery teams were out around the UK keeping busy with the delivery of more courses. Humberside Fire hosted a SFJ Awards, Level 4 Award (ICL2) in Intermediate Incident Command. As well as the 5 HFRS delegates, Kent Fire also booked a space on the course. Having a mix of delegates always adds to the richness of the group discussions and learning. Great feedback as you can see;

“An excellent five-day course during which I went from knowing almost nothing about Incident Command to being confident enough to run an incident ground. The instructors were all deeply knowledgeable and easy to understand and gave quality feedback after each scenario which accelerated the learning process.”

“Do not hesitate to use K Lamb Associates Ltd, the instructors' knowledge and enthusiasm shines through and makes learning enjoyable and understandable.”

Greater Manchester Fire facilitated another SFJ Awards, Level 3 Award (ICL1) in Initial Incident Command. A local delivery model, GMFRS’s own Incident Command Trainers delivered the course with one KLA trainer in attendance as part of our assurance audit required for this type of delivery model. As always, the use of the Effective Command Behavioural Marking Tool is integral to the assessment process on all our courses.

Finally, we welcomed 2 more Strategic Command delegates to their 1-day SCG Practical Exercise as part of the SFJ Awards, Level 7 Award in Strategic Incident Command. Hosted by Staffordshire Fire’s Civil Contingencies Unit, representing Northamptonshire Fire and Leicester Fire, both delegates encountered a well facilitated and realistic SCG Simulation with credible role players raising various complex issues.
